In early October 2007 we visited Sandals Whitehouse (now South Coast) during a trip to Jamaica during which we visited several Sandals resorts including Beaches Negril
and Beaches Sandy Bay
. During our visit we stayed at Sandals Negril
. and took a bus ride each day to see the other resorts. It was a rainy windy day when we visited Sandals Whitehouse so we didnít get the best view of the resorts beach, pools, and other outdoor amenities. However, when we first arrived there was a lull in the rain and there were a few people in one of the Jacuzzis.
The main pool looks out on the beach and ocean and back onto the main lobby building. The main pool has a swim-up bar under a high tower and flotation devices are available. There is a smaller pool and Jacuzzi down the beach from the main pool as well as a small wading pool with statuary in the center.
The beach has water sports available including Hobie Cats, paddle boats, kayaks, and more. In addition to water sports there are tennis courts, basketball courts, and squash courts. Thereís also a game room with pool tables, foosball, and table tennis, as well as fully equipped gym.
There is a gazebo on the beach overlooking the ocean for weddings and other events. Thereís also a theater where shows and other entertainment happens in the evenings.
